Laurence Courtois (born January 18, 1976 in Kortrijk ) is a former Belgian tennis player .
Career
Laurence Courtois won a total of four doubles, but no single titles , in her career on the WTA Tour . She reached another seven finals (two in singles, five in doubles). Her greatest successes in Grand Slam tournaments were reaching the third round in singles at the Australian Open and in all four Grand Slam tournaments in doubles (round of 16). She achieved her best placements in the world rankings with 37th place in singles and 32nd place in doubles.
In the Fed Cup , Courtois won 19 of their 29 games in 25 appearances. She was part of the Belgian Fed Cup team when they triumphed in 2001 . She also represented Belgium at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
2001 Courtois was in the Bundesliga with the TC Blau-Weiss Bocholt u. a. together with Kim Clijsters and Barbara Schett German team champion. In September 2002 she played her last professional match at an ITF tournament in Georgia.
