Meike Babel (born November 22, 1974 in Langen , Hessen ) is a former German tennis player . She played for the TC Rot-Weiß Neu-Isenburg .

Career

One of her greatest international successes in singles was reaching the final at the WTA tournament in Linz in 1994; however, Sabine Appelmans was able to prevail 6: 1, 4: 6 and 7: 6.

Babel reached her best positions in the world rankings with place 27 in singles and place 45 in doubles. She also had six appearances for the German Fed Cup team between 1995 and 1998 (balance: 3: 3).
