Claudia Porwik (born November 14, 1968 in Coburg ) is a former German tennis player .

Career

In her career she won seven double titles and three tournaments in singles and was ranked as the highest position in singles in 29th place (1990) and in doubles in 24th place (1994). She celebrated her greatest individual successes at the Australian Open , where she reached the quarter-finals in 1988 and the semi-finals in 1990. With Germany she also won the Federation Cup in 1992 . Her last professional tournament played Porwik in August 1997 in Salt Lake City .

After her career, she opened a tennis school in Fürth . Shortly afterwards she and her husband founded a tennis school in collaboration with the TSV Altenfurt club in Nuremberg .
