Meredith McGrath (born April 28, 1971 in Midland , Michigan ) is a former American tennis player .

Career

McGrath first played on the WTA Tour in 1988. In her career she won three individual titles there: 1994 at the hard court in Oklahoma City and at the Eastbourne grass tournament ; In 1996 she won the tournament in Birmingham , which is also played on grass.

McGrath had far greater success in women's doubles, winning a total of 25 WTA tournaments. In 1995, she secured her only Grand Slam title at the US Open , in mixed alongside Matt Lucena .
