The Open de Nice Côte d'Azur 2012 was a tennis tournament that took place from May 20th to 26th, 2012 in Nice . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2012 and belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category . In the same week the World Team Cup was played in Düsseldorf .

Last year's winner in the singles, Nicolás Almagro , reached the final again and won there in two sets against the qualifier Brian Baker . He won the tournament without losing a set and thus remained unbeaten in Nice after his debut last year. In the 2012 season this was his second ATP title, the twelfth title win of his career (all on clay court). For Baker it was the first ATP tournament since 2005 after a long injury break and at the same time his first final in this category.

In doubles, Eric Butorac and Jean-Julien Rojer no longer played together to defend their title, but played with new partners each and were eliminated in the semi-finals or in the first round. In this year's final, the Bryan brothers won in straight sets against Oliver Marach and Filip Polášek . This was their first win in Nice, their third title in 2012 and the twins' 78th joint ATP title.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each got a bye into the second round.
