In the singles John Isner stepped up to defend his title and was set as number two. He failed in the semifinals at the eventual finalist Lleyton Hewitt , who had already reached the final the year before. Hewitt lost 7: 5, 5: 7 and 6: 3 to Frenchman Nicolas Mahut , so the Frenchman celebrated the second individual title of his career within a month. Santiago González and Scott Lipsky won the doubles title last year . Like Isner, they also defended their title this year, but were eliminated in the first round against Denis Kudla and Michael Russell . The title went to Nicolas Mahut and Édouard Roger-Vasselin , who beat Tim Smyczek and Rhyne Williams in three sets. It was the fourth joint title of the two French; Mahut also won three more ATP doubles titles.
The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs.
