Cemil Usta (born January 1, 1951 in Trabzon ; † March 15, 2003 ibid) was a Turkish national football player who played for the Trabzonspor football club in the 1970s . Because of his stable posture, his nickname was Dozer Cemil (English bulldozer ).

Career

The football career of Cemil Usta, who was born in Trabzon in 1951, began in 1967 with the Trabzon Gençlerbirliği club . Three years later he moved to Trabzonspor , which currently played in the 2nd division. After Trabzonspor rose to the Süper Lig in the 1973/74 season , he was appointed captain. Dozer Cemil as captain, with whom Trabzonspor was allowed to celebrate its first two Turkish championships, scored his team in the game in the 1976/77 European Cup against Liverpool FC with a penalty in the 62nd minute, and at the same time sealed the first defeat of the "Reds" for 14 European Cup games.

Cemil Usta ended his football career at the age of 32 when he was put on the club's sales list at the beginning of the 1978/79 season. He declined the transfer offer from Rizespor with the words: “I'm the captain of Trabzonspor. How could I go onto the field under another captain? ”On August 14, 1983, he said goodbye to football with his teammate Kadir Özcan in a friendly against Orduspor .

Cemil Usta's first international match was a friendly against Bulgaria on September 22, 1976 . Three weeks later he played his second and last international match against Ireland .
