Ellis Ferreira (born February 19, 1970 in Pretoria ) is a retired South African tennis player .
Career
Ferreira won 18 double titles on the ATP Tour in his career (nine of them with Rick Leach ) and reached another 16 finals. His greatest successes were winning the Australian Open 2000 and reaching the final of the US Open in the same year, as well as winning the ATP Doubles Challenge 2002 (each with Rick Leach). In addition, Ferreira won the mixed competition of the Australian Open in 2001 alongside Corina Morariu .
He reached his highest position in the tennis world rankings in doubles with rank 2 in January 2000, in singles he only made it to number 210 in the world (October 1994).
