Marius Barnard (born January 20, 1969 in Cape Town ) is a former South African tennis player .

Career

The doubles specialist began his professional career in 1988 and was able to achieve a total of six tournament victories in doubles competitions until his retirement. Eight more times he was in a final. In Grand Slam tournaments , he reached the quarter-finals twice, in Wimbledon in 1994 and at the Australian Open in 2000 .

Barnard achieved his highest world rankings in singles in October 1994 with rank 313 and in doubles in February 1997 with 44th place.
