Arthur and Elsa Hannes lived in from 1910 to November 25, 1940 an apartment at Schönwalder Straße 13/14. The couple had no children. Then they were forced to move into a so-called “Jewish apartment” at Moltkestrasse 43, today's Groenerstrasse 6. On January 19, 1942, they were both deported to Riga.

The couple had no children. Then they were forced to move into a so-called “Jewish apartment” at Moltkestrasse 43, today's Groenerstrasse 6. On January 19, 1942, they were both deported to Riga.
Stolperstein Markt 11 (Spand) Paula Hirschfeld.jpg Paula Hirschfeld Market 11 location Oct 26, 2010 * October 10, 1871 as Paula Victor in Posen - Paula Hirschfeld was married to the medical councilor Dr. med. Heymann (Hermann) Hirschfeld, who was born on March 26, 1860 in Spandau. Together they had a son, Theodor Hirschfeld (born November 5, 1894). Initially, the family lived on Augusta-Ufer 15 in Spandau. When Heymann Hirschfeld became seriously ill, Paula and Heymann moved in with their son in his apartment on Markt 11. Paula also stayed there when Heymann died on December 15, 1939.
Paula Hirschfeld was deported from Berlin to Theresienstadt on September 14, 1942. She died on July 30, 1943. The exact cause of her death is not known, but it can be assumed that the inhumane living conditions in the camp led to her death.
Stolperstein Markt 11 (Spand) Theodor Hirschfeld.jpg Theodor Hirschfeld Market 11 location Oct 26, 2010 * November 5, 1894 in Spandau - Theodor Hirschfeld was the son of Paula and Heymann (Hermann) Hirschfeld. The family initially lived on Augusta-Ufer 15 in Spandau. Theodor studied medicine at the Humboldt University, interrupted from military service in World War I, where he served as a medical sergeant. After the war he continued his studies and became a general practitioner. He lived and practiced in Spandau on Markt 11. After his registration as a Jew was withdrawn in 1938, he had to do forced labor as an aircraft washer at Berlin-Tempelhof Airport. When his father Heymann Hirschfeld became seriously ill, his parents moved into his apartment.
Dr. Theodor Hirschfeld was deported to Raasiku (Latvia) on September 26, 1942, 12 days after his mother was deported, and murdered there immediately after his arrival.

They were born on March 12, 1943, five days before Gerhard's parents, deported to Auschwitz and probably murdered there immediately.

The couple was born on March 12, 1943, five days before Gerhard's parents Julius and Lina Lieber, deported to Auschwitz and probably murdered there immediately.
Stolperstein Breite Str 16 (Spand) Julius Lieber.jpg Julius dear Broad Street 16 location Jun 10, 2009 * September 23, 1875 in Landeck (West Prussia) - Julius Lieber ran a flourishing textile goods store at Potsdamer Strasse 47 (today: Carl-Schurz-Strasse) until 1936. The political situation forced him to give up the business in 1936. He then tried to sell his goods on the market until everything was destroyed in 1938 and he had to do forced labor in an armaments company in Spandau. Julius and Lina Lieber were deported to Theresienstadt on March 17, 1943 and from there to Auschwitz on May 16, 1944, and were probably gassed on the same day.
The Lieber family's house at 16 Breite Strasse no longer exists as Charlottenstrasse was widened after the war. The 4 stumbling blocks are therefore not in front of a house entrance, but near the traffic lights at Breite Strasse and the corner of Charlottenstrasse.

When they moved from Askanierring 8 to Havelstraße 20 in 1939, they had to give up the business. On November 14, 1941, Fanny Zeller was transported on the 5th transport from Berlin to a ghetto in Minsk in Belarus. The transport arrived in Minsk on November 18, 1941, where Fanny Zeller was murdered.

On March 4, 1940, he fled to France and was arrested there. On March 6, 1943, he was deported from Drancy to Majdanek / Auschwitz and murdered there. - The Zeller couple had two children, Frederic and Lilian Zeller, who both fled Germany and survived the war.
