After he was buried in the First World War , he suffered from headaches and dizziness, but he continued to work after the war. As a result of his increasingly frequent epileptic seizures , he was admitted to the Wittenau sanatorium in May 1943 , and after four weeks he was released again. On August 5, 1943, at the request of his daughter, he was admitted there again; he was diagnosed with an organic nervous disease . On September 10, 1943, he was transferred to the Obrawalde sanatorium near Meseritz , where he was poisoned with a drug overdose about three months later. | |
