The list of stumbling blocks in Berlin-Tiergarten contains the stumbling blocks in the Berlin district of Tiergarten in the Mitte district, which remind of the fate of the people who were murdered, deported, expelled or driven to suicide under National Socialism. Ruth Frank | Lützowplatz 5 | June 16, 2018 | Ruth Fabisch was born on February 21, 1907 as the daughter of the representative Gustav Fabisch and his wife Anna, née Barschall. She still had 2 siblings: Margot, who died of flu at a young age, and Paul (1903-1974), who emigrated to Buenos Aires in 1935, where he was recognized as a painter and graphic artist as Pablo Fabisch. Ruth Fabisch became a secretary and had been employed by the Warburg bank since 1932. In 1937 she married the auto mechanic Hermann Frank, at that time she was still living with her parents at Lützowplatz 5. With the help of her employer, she and her husband were able to emigrate to South Africa one month after the marriage. There their daughters were born: Maureen (1942) and Barbara Jean (1947). Hermann Frank died in 1981, she herself in 2000. | ||
