World icon July 28, 2005 Otto Dunkel, born on April 9, 1889 near Templin, worked as a stone wood loader in armaments factories, taking on courier services for various resistance groups and managing the mechanical workshops in Neubrandenburg . He was arrested by the Gestapo at the end of May 1942 and taken to Neuengamme concentration camp . When the concentration camp was dissolved, he got onto the Cap Arcona and died on May 3, 1945 when the ship was sunk. In Berlin-Johannisthal 1945 was "Otto-dark school" named after him, a memorial tablet in the Spree River Road and the workers' militia group the Neubrandenburg tire plants bore his name, as does the Veterans Club of Spreestraße and the "Otto-dark choir". The stone was stolen just a day after it was laid. On October 28, 2005 a new stone was laid. The stone is in front of the entrance to the shop in the corner house.
