The Davidoff Swiss Indoors Basel 2005 was a tennis tournament that took place from October 22nd to 30th, 2005 in Basel . It was part of the ATP Tour 2005 and was played indoors on a Taraflex mat. The venue for the tournament was the St. Jakobshalle , which is located just behind the Basel city limits in Münchenstein .

The defending champion in the individual was Jiří Novák , who was eliminated in the round of 16 this year. In the final, Fernando González won against qualifier Marcos Baghdatis from Cyprus in four sets. For González it was already the third tournament victory this year and his seventh overall victory on the ATP World Tour. In doubles, the brothers Bob and Mike Bryan were the defending champions, but they were eliminated in the semifinals against Agustín Calleri and Fernando González, who in turn won the tournament. In the final they defeated the duo Stephen Huss and Wesley Moodie in straight sets with 7: 5 and 7: 5.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs.
