Ransomware Knowling

Ransom Knowling (born June 24, 1912 in New Orleans , † October 22, 1967 in Chicago ) was an American blues and jazz musician ( bass , tuba and violin ).

Ransom Knowling starred in New Orleans with Sidney Desvigne and John Robichaux in the 1920s and 1930s before moving to Chicago in the late decade. There he worked with rhythm & blues and blues musicians, a. a. with the Harlem Hamfats , Big Bill Broonzy , Arthur Crudup ( That's All Right ), Roosevelt Sykes , Washboard Sam , John Davis , Little Brother Montgomery , Sonny Boy Williamson , T-Bone Walker , Muddy Waters and Tommy McClennan . Knowling, who died in 1967 at the age of 55, participated in 38 recording sessions from 1937 to 1955,
