Álex López Morón (born November 28, 1970 in Barcelona ) is a former Spanish tennis player .

Career

López Morón twice won the doubles competition at the ATP tournament in Umag, Croatia : 2000 with Albert Portas and 2003 with Rafael Nadal . In addition, he won two tournaments in singles on the ATP Challenger Tour and another 16 in doubles. In Grand Slam tournaments , however, he never got beyond the second round in doubles or the first round in singles. His highest ranking in doubles was 63rd on July 24th, 2000, while he just made it into the top 100 in singles on October 9th, 1995.
