The Heineken Open 2014 was a tennis tournament that took place from January 6th to 11th, 2014 in Auckland . It was part of the 2014 ATP World Tour and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week, the Apia International Sydney was played in Sydney , which, like the Heineken Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Last year's individual winner was the Spaniard David Ferrer . In doubles, the duo Colin Fleming and Bruno Soares won the tournament last year.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players each received a bye into the second round.

The qualification for the Heineken Open 2014 took place from 4th to 6th January 2014. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
