The MercedesCup 2014 was a tennis tournament that took place from July 7th to 13th, 2014 in Stuttgart . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2014 and was played on clay court. In the same week, the SkiStar Swedish Open was played in Båstad and the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in Newport , which, like the MercedesCup, belong to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each got a bye into the second round.

qualification

Qualification for the MercedesCup 2014 took place from July 5th to 7th, 2014. Four qualifying places were played that entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. In addition, two losers from the third qualifying round advanced into the main draw as lucky losers .

At the MercedesCup 2014, the following prize money and world ranking points will be paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who enter the main field from qualification receive the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The amounts for the double competition apply per player.
