Rashed Nawaf (born June 1, 2005 ) is a Qatari tennis player .

Career

Nawaf mainly plays and is getting promising results on the ITF Junior Tour by the age of 14. He has won 15 singles out of 24 matches there so far. In 2019 he finished second in the U14 variant of the Orange Bowl , the unofficial junior world championship - in the final he was defeated by the American Nisesh Basavareddy.

He also gained his first experience with the professionals and in 2019 he had his first match success in doubles. At the beginning of 2020 he received a wildcard from the tournament officials of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open for the main draw of the doubles , where he lost against Malek Jaziri in the first round. In the qualification of the individual he also received a wild card. Here he lost to Thiago Monteiro . In doubles he is also placed in the top 2000 in the world rankings from 2020 .

In 2019 he played two games for the Qatari Davis Cup team , both of which he lost.
