7 Monasteries Way

Maria Birnbaum Monastery

The 7-Klöster-Weg connects seven existing or former monasteries in the Dachauer and Wittelsbacher Land . The 100 km long path, which is intended for cyclists, leads through the districts of Aichach-Friedberg and Dachau .

• Schönbrunn Monastery in Röhrmoos ,
• Weichs Monastery ,
• Indersdorf Monastery
• Basilica of St. Peter and Paul in Petersberg (Erdweg)
• Altomünster Monastery
• Maria Birnbaum Monastery in Sielenbach
• Taxa monastery near Odelzhausen .

Culture

The aim of this cycle path is to raise awareness of the monasteries and make them tangible. It is signposted in both directions with the 7-Klöster logo and can therefore be started from any monastery. At many monastery sites there are still educational institutions, places of social integration and museums in addition to religious institutions. The tour takes you to numerous inns, monastery restaurants, cafés and beer gardens. The initiator was Dachau AGIL e. V.
