The Evangelical Lutheran village church in Bischofroda is located in the community of Bischofroda in the Wartburg district in Thuringia .

history

In the years 1103 to 1104, the current church tower was built as a defensive tower . The nave in its current shape was built in the middle of the 17th century, the large windows were added in the 18th century. The bell house next to the church was built around 1980 because the bells could not remain in the tower for static reasons.

From 1993, it was possible the church to renovate extensively. Among other things, the tower was statically secured. In 2009, the municipality funded the re-roofing of the roof and gave the church building to paint the facade. Now to the knob - organ restored and municipally funded.
