The 1983 Fischer Grand Prix was a tennis tournament that took place in Vienna from October 17-30, 1983 . The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 32 players, that of the double competition consisted of 16 pairs. The tournament was 100,000 $ doped.

In the individual, the American Brian Gottfried was able to successfully defend his title. It was his fourth victory in Vienna after 1977, 1980 and 1982. Last year's winners Henri Leconte and Pavel Složil no longer competed in doubles . The Czechoslovak Složil was together with his compatriot Tomáš Šmíd as the top seeded team, but they failed in the first round. The title went to the Americans Mel Purcell and Stan Smith .
