Nils Langer (born January 25, 1990 in Ludwigsburg ) is a German tennis player .
Career
Nils Langer, who lives in Affalterbach , was German U16 champion in 2006 and German U18 champion in 2007 and 2008. He achieved his first tournament victory as a professional in March 2009 at the 10,000 dollar future tournament in Switzerland. Three months later, he won the $ 15,000 Future tournament in Marburg.
In July 2013 Nils Langer was ranked 259th in the world , his best position to date; in January 2010 he was number one in the DTB-U21 rankings.
In July 2013, he qualified for the first time in the main draw of an ATP World Tour tournament at the 2013 MercedesCup . There he also won his opening game against Robin Kern before losing to Philipp Kohlschreiber in the round of 16 . In the following seasons, he did not manage to move into the top 200 in the individual until 2016 , when he reached his highest position with 188th place on March 7, 2016. In the same year he reached his career high in doubles with rank 277 on September 12th. The year before, he won his first and only title on the Challenger Tour in Ho Chi Minh City in mid-October alongside Tristan Lamasine in the doubles competition . In the final, they defeated Saketh Myneni and Sanam Singh 10: 8 in the match tie-break.
In 2017 he decided to only play in the tennis Bundesliga from now on.

Langer played in 2010 , 2011 , 2012 , 2013 in the 2nd Bundesliga tennis league . Even after being promoted to the first tennis league in 2014 and relegated to the second division in 2015 , he played for TV Reutlingen .
