Gretha Smit (born January 20, 1976 in Rouveen, Staphorst ) is a Dutch speed skater.

She achieved her breakthrough at the Elfstedentocht 1997 when she finished second behind Klasina Seinstra .

She won the silver medal over 5000 meters at the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. The following years 2003 and 2004 were also her most successful. In 2003 she took 3rd place at the world championships over 3000 meters and 5000 meters. A year later it was enough to win the silver medal over the same routes.

She also won four Dutch championships.
