Filippo Messori (born November 12, 1973 in Modena ) is a former Italian tennis player .

Career

Filippo Messori turned pro in 1994 and was mainly active in doubles. On the ATP Challenger Tour he won six tournaments in his career, on the ATP World Tour he won the 1997 title in San Marino alongside Cristian Brandis . In addition, he was on the World Tour in two other finals, 1997 in Estoril with Andrea Gaudenzi and 1998 again with Cristian Brandi in Casablanca . He achieved the best ratings in the ATP world rankings in 1996 in singles with position 138 and in 1997 in doubles with position 63.

In the individual, he could never qualify for a Grand Slam tournament . In 1997, he achieved his best result in the doubles competition when he made it to the second round of the French Open . At the French Open and Wimbledon , he reached the second round in mixed that same year.
