David Škoch (born November 6, 1976 in Brandýs nad Labem-Stará Boleslav , then Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech tennis player . He can show successes especially in doubles.
Career
In his junior career, he won the individual at Wimbledon in 1992 . After moving to the pros in 1994, he quickly decided to mainly compete in doubles. The right-hander achieved his highest single placement in the tennis world rankings with rank 133 at the end of March 1997. In doubles, he cracked the top 100 for the first time in 2002, and in the same year he played for the first time in all four Grand Slam tournaments . He reached the round of 16 four times at this level. On the ATP World Tour he was able to reach a final ten times in doubles, first in 1997 in Prague . With Petr Luxa he lost there in the final to Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes . In the other finals he was able to win the title five times. In 2007 he won two titles and also reached two finals, whereby in January 2008 he climbed his best placement with rank 30 in the world rankings. Afterwards he continuously fell in the ranking.
From 2012 to 2019 he only played a few futures , where he competed with the 26-year-old Petr Nouza (most recently in May 2019).
