The 2015 Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships was a tennis tournament that took place in Tokyo from October 5-11, 2015 . It was part of the 2015 ATP World Tour and was played outdoors on hard courts. The same week the China Open was played in Beijing , which, like the Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships, belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category .

The defending champions were Kei Nishikori in singles and in doubles the duo Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Michał Przysiężny .

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs.

qualification

Qualification for the 2015 Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships took place on October 3rd and 4th, 2015. Four qualifying places in the individual competition and one place in the doubles competition were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
