The Apia International Sydney 2015 was a tennis tournament , which from 12 to 17 January 2015 in Sydney took place. It was part of the 2015 ATP World Tour and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week, the Heineken Open was played in Auckland , which, like Apia International Sydney, was part of the ATP World Tour 250 category . The women's tournament of the WTA Tour 2015 also took place in Sydney .

Last year's individual winner was Juan Martín del Potro . Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjić won the tournament in doubles last year. In the first ATP final of two qualifiers, Viktor Troicki prevailed against Mikhail Kukuschkin in two sets. Troicki won his first ATP title in five years and the second of his career overall.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players each received a bye into the second round.

qualification

The qualification for the Apia International Sydney 2015 took place from 10th to 12th January 2015. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
