Cliff Drysdale
Cliff Drysdale (born May 26, 1941 in Nelspruit ) is a retired South African tennis player .
Together with Roger Taylor he won the men's doubles at the US Open in Forest Hills in 1972 . In total he won five singles and six doubles tournaments in his career, including the 1965 German international tennis championships . His highest world ranking position was reached in 1974 with 13th place. For South Africa he played 46 matches .
Cliff Drysdale was one of the three founding members of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
In 2013 he was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame . After finishing his career, he founded a tennis academy.
