The ATP tournament in Florence (officially Torneo Internazionali Citta di Firenze ) was an Italian men's tennis tournament that was held in Florence from 1973 to 1994. The game was played outdoors on clay. The tournament was part of the ATP World Series , the predecessor of the ATP World Tour 250 . From 1973 to 1989 the competition was always scheduled in the weeks before the French Open , later the tournament always took place in the week immediately after the French Open. The tournament was replaced by the ATP tournament in Porto in the 1995 season .
Record winners of the tournament are the Italian Paolo Bertolucci and the Austrian Thomas Muster , who each won the tournament three times in a row. Bertolucci was also a multiple title holder in doubles, but his doubles partner Adriano Panatta holds the record with five titles.
