Narducci competed in the US Open junior tournament in 1982 , but failed in the individual in the first round to Ronald Agénor . In doubles he reached the quarterfinals. On the ATP World Tour he was able to show notable success for the first time in 1985 when he reached the quarter-finals at the Bologna tournament . Two years later he reached the last sixteen in the same place, but overall his career at this point was disappointing. After numerous first round defeats, he sensationally won the tournament as a local hero in Florence in May 1988 . Here he beat Marcelo Filippini , Jaime Yzaga and in the final Claudio Panatta . Subsequently, however, he was unable to keep his form, and so after this tournament victory his best result of the rest of the year 1988 was a round of 16 in Palermo . In 1989 he competed with Omar Camporese in Milan and at the Monte Carlo Masters, where they reached the semi-finals and quarter-finals respectively. Camporese subsequently looked for other doubles partners and Narducci sought his luck more on the ATP Challenger Tour . At the Challenger tournament in Modena , he made it to the semi-finals, in Pescara to the quarter-finals. But then the first and second round defeats also accumulated on the ATP Challenger Tour. Most recently, he appeared on lower-class ATP satellite tournaments before ending his professional career in 1991. He reached his highest ranking in the tennis world rankings in 1988 with position 77 in singles and in 1989 with position 122 in doubles.
His best individual result at a Grand Slam tournament was reaching the second round of the Australian Open and the French Open in 1988. In the other two tournaments he was eliminated in the first round in the same year. 1988 was also the only year in which he was able to qualify for the four Grand Slam tournaments.
Narducci appeared in the first round game of the Davis Cup world group for Italy in 1989 . In the game in Sweden he lost his two individual games against Mikael Pernfors and Jonas Svensson in just five sets. Sweden won the game 4-1. This was the only use Narducci in the Davis Cup.
