Masso, a native of Argentina, started tennis at the age of seven and was Argentina's national junior champion in 1982. In 1984 he became a professional tennis player. He had a first respectable success in 1986 with the semi-finals in the double competition in Metz . In 1989 he was in the final of an ATP tournament for the first and only time in his career , but was defeated by João Cunha-Silva against Udo Riglewski and Tobias Svantesson . In 1990 he reached the final in Hilversum , but had to admit defeat to Francisco Clavet in four sets . He celebrated his only title wins on the ATP Challenger Tour , where he won three double titles with changing partners between 1990 and 1992. He reached his highest ranking in the tennis world rankings in 1991 with position 56 in singles and in 1990 with position 134 in doubles.
His best individual results in Grand Slam tournaments were reaching the second round at the Australian Open , the French Open and Wimbledon . In the doubles competition, he only appeared at the Australian Open and the French Open, but did not get past the first round there. In mixed , he was in the second round of the French Open in 1990.
Masso, who was naturalized in Belgium, played ten singles and four doubles games for the Belgian Davis Cup team between 1990 and 1992 . His individual balance was 6: 4, but he could not win any of his double encounters.
