Parish church of Heinrich near Weitra
The Roman Catholic parish church of Heinrichs bei Weitra ( patronage : Assumption of Mary ) is a neo-Gothic building with a north tower , which was built from granite blocks from 1872 to 1875 according to plans by Hermann Schneider , after the previous building from 1762 had become too small for the growing community. The church was restored in 1933 and 1958 . The 1784 built the parish of the Lower Austrian town Heinrichs bei Weitra part of the Dean's Office Gmünd .
Outside
The neo-Gothic church is west. It has a nave with a retracted, single-bay choir with a three-eighth end in the west and large lancet windows . In the gable facade in the east are a two-lane tracery window and a gabled, profiled, pointed arch portal with shoulder arch gate, marked 1873 . A surrounding coffin cornice forms the upper plinth on the nave and facade and the steps on the buttresses . On the north side rises a mighty tower with a gabled spire , triple stepped corner buttresses, a shoulder arch gate and slotted and pointed arched windows. A sacristy is attached to the north side of the choir .
Inside
The nave is a four-bay hall building with a pointed barrel and stitch caps over beveled belt arches on wall templates. A surrounding coffin cornice and profiled flat arch niches between the buttresses structure the interior. The groin vaulted organ loft rests on three profiled segment arches on pillars with bud capitals . A recessed, profiled triumphal arch leads to the choir area . The choir yoke is vaulted by a pointed barrel with stitch caps and has ribs at the end of the choir and a relief keystone with the Lamb of God . A shoulder arch portal leads to the sacristy.
inventory
The inventory is mostly neo-Gothic from the fourth quarter of the 19th century. The high altar , a work by Josef Kepplinger dated 1896, was transferred from Loiben to Heinrichs in 1954 . It has a predella with relief wings depicting the youth of Christ and the Passion . On the main floor there is a late baroque picture of the Coronation of Mary in a keel arch frame , which was painted after 1762. The side figures, the Saints Peter and Paul, date from 1896. In the blasted tabernacle niche stands a statue with the heart of Jesus between two saints . The neo-Gothic side altar is decorated with a carved figure of St. John Nepomuk and a statue of Mary of Fátima from 1954. The neo-Gothic pulpit and church stalls date from the fourth quarter of the 19th century . The organ was made by Franz Capek in 1911. Other furnishings include baroque carved figures of Saints Joseph and Leonhard from around 1750/60, a carved figure of Saint Sebastian from the 18th century, a figure of Saint Florian from the 19th century, a crucifix from the 18th century and in Longhouse mural with God the Father and Marienpietà from around 1875. The bell was cast by Ferdinand Drackh in 1731.
