Villemade ( Occitan : Vilamada ) is a French commune with 744 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn-et-Garonne department in the Occitanie region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montauban and is part of the canton of Quercy-Aveyron (until 2015: canton of Montauban-1 ). The community is part of the Grand Montauban municipal association . The inhabitants are called Villemadais .
Geographical location
Villemade is about eight kilometers north-northwest of the city center of Montauban . The Aveyron flows into the Tarn here . Villemade is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montastruc in the north, Piquecos in the northeast, Montauban in the south and east, Albefeuille-Lagarde in the southwest, Barry-d'Islemade in the west and Lafrançaise in the northwest.
