The canton of Montauban-1 is a French constituency in the arrondissement of Montauban , in the Tarn-et-Garonne department and in the Occitanie region . Roland Garrigues ( PS ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Département since 2004 .

The canton consists of part of the city of Montauban and has 19,752 inhabitants (as of 2017).
Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the three municipalities of Lamothe-Capdeville , Montauban and Villemade belonged to the canton of Montauban-1 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 8215.
