The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montauban and is part of the canton of Quercy-Aveyron (until 2015: canton of Molières ). The inhabitants are called Molièrains .
Geographical location
Molières is about 19 kilometers north of Montauban . Molières is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Castelnau Montratier-Sainte Alauzie with Castelnau-Montratier in the north, Montfermier in the northeast, Montpezat-de-Quercy in the east and northeast, Auty in the east, Saint-Vincent in the southeast, Mirabel in the south, Puycornet in the southwest as well Labarthe to the west.
The former Route nationale 659 runs through the municipality .
