Mount Jumper is a 2890  m high mountain in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises 11 km east of Mount Viet in the center of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and with the help of aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1957 and 1959. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1961 after Major Jesse T. Jumper (1917–1984) of the United States Air Force , who was involved in the construction of the first South Pole station between 1956 and 1957 .
