Loupiac ( Occitan Lopiac ) is a French commune in the Tarn department in the Occitanie region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ) with 408 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). It is located in the arrondissement of Albi and is part of the canton of Les Portes du Tarn (until 2015 Rabastens ). The inhabitants are called Loupiacois .

geography

Loupiac is located between Toulouse and Albi . The Tarn limits the community to the north. Loupiac is surrounded by the neighboring communities Rabastens in the north and northwest, Lisle-sur-Tarn in the northeast, Montans in the east, Parisot in the south and southeast, Giroussens in the south and Coufouleux in the west and southwest.

The A68 autoroute limits the community in the south.
