Albert Hans DeWitt is a retired American basketball player .

career

The 2.03 meter tall indoor player played 79 games for the Weber State University team in his native USA between 1972 and 1976 . He achieved averages of 13.3 points and 9.2 rebounds in these games. In the draft proceedings of the NBA in 1976, the Portland Trail Blazers secured the rights to DeWitt in the seventh round in a total of 109th place.

He played from 1977 at MTV Wolfenbüttel in the German basketball league and in the European Cup. In the 1978/79 season he scored a total of 725 points in the main and final round, making him the best offensive player in the Bundesliga. In 1982 he won the German cup competition with MTV. During his time in the Bundesliga, DeWitt did not only earn his money with basketball, but also worked as a construction worker.
