Cagnac-les-Mines ( Canhac de las Minas in Occitan ) is a French commune with 2,601 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Albi and the canton of Albi-3 (until 2015: canton of Albi-Nord-Ouest ).

geography

Cagnac-les-Mines is about six kilometers north of the center of Albi on the edge of the Cevennes Mountains. Cagnac-les-Mines is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Taïx in the north, Le Garric in the east and north-east, Lescure-d'Albigeois in the south and south-east, Albi in the south, Castelnau-de-Lévis in the south-west, Sainte-Croix in the west and Mailhoc in the north-west.
