Tomáš Kubalík (born May 1, 1990 in Pilsen , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech ice hockey player . His younger brother Dominik Kubalík is also a hockey player.

Career

Tomáš Kubalík began his career at the ice hockey club in his hometown Pilsen before moving to the Canadian junior league at the Tigres de Victoriaville at the age of 19 . In the 2009/10 season he was so convincing that he was signed by the Columbus Blue Jackets and was active in their organization over the next few years. So he played for the farm team of the Blue Jackets, the Springfield Falcons , in the AHL , but also had a total of 12 appearances in the NHL , in which he got 1 goal and 3 assists. In the 2012/13 season he was given to the Winnipeg Jets for Spencer Machacek , but was only used for their farm team, the St. John's IceCaps , for 10 games (3 assists) in the AHL .

For the 2013/14 season, Kubalík moved back to his home country, to the club HC Lev Prague , who played in the KHL . This season he had few missions due to injury and after the club's withdrawal from the game, he moved to the Finnish ice hockey league with Kalevan Pallo together with his compatriot Michal Birner .

In the 2015/16 season he was active for ERC Ingolstadt in the German Ice Hockey League and scored 27 points (14 goals) for Upper Bavaria during the season .

In the 2016/17 season Kubalík was initially under contract with the Slovak KHL representative HC Slovan Bratislava , but switched to Sport Vaasa in the Finnish Liiga in January 2017 . The following season 2017/18 , he joined the newly promoted club in the highest ice hockey league in his home country the Czech Republic the HC Dukla Jihlava at, but could not prevent its direct re descent. At the end of the season he moved within the Czech league to HC Plzeň with which he was defeated in the play-offs by the eventual champions HC Kometa Brno .

For the 2018/19 season , Kubalik signed a contract with the DEL2 team Eispiraten Crimmitschau . However , the contract was terminated again in November 2018 due to health problems of the Czech without a stake for West Saxony .

International

Kubalík played several international matches for Czech junior national teams and was appointed to the Czech national ice hockey team in 2013 .
