Carlus ( Occitan : Carlús ) is a French commune with 678 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). Carlus belongs to the Arrondissement of Albi and the Canton of Albi-2 (until 2015: Canton of Albi-Sud ).

Carlus is located about five kilometers south-southwest from the city center Albis . Carlus is surrounded by Le Sequestre in the north, Albi in the northeast and northwest, Saliès in the east, Lamillarié in the southeast, Poulan-Pouzols in the south and Rouffiac in the west.
