Terre-de-Bancalié is a French commune with 1,710 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Albi and the canton of Le Haut Dadou .
It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 by merging the previous municipalities of Roumégoux , Ronel , Saint-Antonin-de-Lacalm , Saint-Lieux-Lafenasse , Terre-Clapier and Le Travet , which have the status in the new municipality have a commune déléguée . The administrative headquarters are in Roumégoux.

geography
The community is located around 15 kilometers southeast of Albi in an area rich in water. The river Dadou with the Retenue des Rasisse reservoir runs along the eastern and southern borders of the municipality, its tributary Assou at the western border and the Lézert with the Retenue de la Bancalié reservoir in the center .
Neighboring municipalities are: Villefranche-d'Albigeois in the north-east, Teillet and Mont-Roc in the east, Arifat in the south-east, Montredon-Labessonnié in the south, Vénès and Réalmont in the south-west, Lombers and Dénat in the west and Mouzieys-Teulet in the north-west.
