Roumégoux ( Occitan Romegós ) is a commune déléguée in the French commune of Terre-de-Bancalié with 262 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitanie region . The inhabitants are called Roumegouzols .

The municipality of Roumégoux was merged with Saint-Lieux-Lafenasse , Ronel , Saint-Antonin-de-Lacalm , Terre-Clapier and Le Travet to form the Commune nouvelle Terre-de-Bancalié on January 1, 2019 . Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée. The municipality of Roumégoux belonged to the arrondissement of Albi and was part of the canton of Le Haut Dadou .

geography

Roumégoux is about nineteen kilometers south-southeast of Albi . The municipality of Roumégoux was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Fauch in the north, Terre-Clapier in the northeast, Le Travet in the east and northeast, Saint-Antonin-de-Lacalm in the south and east, Saint-Lieux-Lafenasse in the south and southwest and Ronel in the west.
