Vénès ( Occitan Venés ) is a French commune with 813 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Castres and the canton of Plaine de l'Agoût (until 2015 Lautrec ).

Vénès is located about 58 kilometers east-northeast of Toulouse and about 15 kilometers north-northwest of Castres . Vénès is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Genest-de-Contest in the north and northwest, Réalmont in the north, Saint-Lieux-Lafenasse in the northeast, Montredon-Labessonnié in the east, Montfa in the south and southeast, Peyregoux in the south and Lautrec in the west and Southwest.
