Le Bez ( Occitan : Lo Bèç ) is a southern French municipality with 831 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). Le Bez belongs to the Arrondissement of Castres and the canton of Les Hautes Terres d'Oc (until 2015: canton of Brassac ).

location

Le Bez is located between the Agout and Durenque rivers in the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park , about 18 kilometers east-northeast from Castres . Le Bez is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vabre and Fontrieu in the north, Brassac in the east, Lasfaillades in the southeast, Cambounès in the south, Saint-Salvy-de-la-Balme and Burlats in the west and Lacrouzette in the northwest.
