Viterbe ( Occitan : Vitèrba ) is a French commune with 361 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Castres and the canton of Plaine de l'Agoût (until 2015 Saint-Paul-Cap-de-Joux ). The inhabitants are called Viterbois .

geography

Viterbe is about 30 kilometers east of Toulouse and about 27 kilometers west-northwest of Castres am Agout , which borders the municipality in the north. Viterbe is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Fiac in the north and east, Teyssode in the south and Lavaur in the west.
