Cambounet-sur-le-Sor ( Occitan : Cambonet de Sòr ) is a French commune with 932 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Castres and the canton of Le Pastel (until 2015: canton of Puylaurens ). The inhabitants are called Cambounetois .
geography
Cambounet-sur-le-Sor is about 42 kilometers east-southeast of Toulouse and about ten kilometers west-southwest of Castres . The Sor limits the community in the extreme east. Cambounet-sur-le-Sor is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sémalens in the north, Saïx in the east, Viviers-lès-Montagnes in the southeast, Soual in the south and Saint-Germain-des-Prés in the west.
