Clemens Graf (from 1916 Prince) zur Lippe-Biesterfeld-Weißenfeld (born July 15, 1860 in Dresden , † April 29, 1920 at Proschwitz Castle ) was a German politician in Saxony.

Life

Clemens zur Lippe was a member of the Lippe family . His parents were Franz zur Lippe-Biesterfeld-Weißenfeld and his wife Marie Sophie Freiin von Beschwitz (* August 20, 1836, † August 30, 1921). Imperial Count Clemens was the oldest child in the family. He was followed by six others, including the writer Sophie von Arnim . He came from the Second Hereditary Line (Lippe-Weißenfeld) of the Princely House ruling in Detmold .

Clemens zur Lippe was active in the Corps Saxonia Göttingen from Easter 1880 to Michaelis 1881 . On November 25, 1880 recipiert , he proved to be a Subsenior and Senior . He was a member of the government of the Bautzen district administration and, since 1905, the state elder of the Upper Lusatia margraviate in Bautzen . Marriage and offspring

On January 7, 1901, he married his heiress Friederike Freiin von Carlowitz (* August 24, 1878, † January 25, 1942) at Proschwitz Castle . Two children were born to the couple:
