Damiatte ( Occitan Damiata ) is a French commune with 1,025 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Castres and the canton of Plaine de l'Agoût (until 2015 Saint-Paul-Cap-de-Joux ).

geography

Damiatte is about 35 kilometers east of Toulouse and about 20 kilometers west-northwest of Castres am Agout , which borders the municipality in the south. Damiatte is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Missècle in the north, Moulayrès in the north and northeast, Puycalvel in the east, Serviès in the east and southeast, Saint-Paul-Cap-de-Joux in the south, Teyssode in the southwest and Fiac in the west.
